RE: Happy 4th and where are you?

Koa, Silver City, New Mexico. Enjoying the weather, getting ready to light the bbq, and reading all of the posts from people complaining about fuel prices. While they are home, we are hear 450 miles from home having a great time.

RE: Is anyone out there? Yep!!

I realize fuel is high, but when you stop to consider either staying home or staying in hotels, I will take an empty campground. We see it too. Less people camping. It is a shame, but it means better spots for the rest of us.

RE: MEMORIAL DAY ----- LET'S ALL NEVER FORGET!

To everyone that is either serving or has served, thank you. Without your sacrifices we would probably not be camping this weekend. My red, white and blue will be waving proudly

RE: Johnnie Walker RV Recommendation - Las Vegas

Glad you had a good experience with them. We had a horrible one. I sent them pictures of our trade, inside and out. They gave me a price and then when we got there, they claimed that they quoted us on a different unit. Offered $10000.00 less. We walked.

RE: Ford V-10

I love ours. Took 2 weeks to get. We live in the phoenix area and the closest one was in San Francisco. Dealer showed me the sticker, I approved it, and they brought it in. No charge for the shipping.

RE: Sold My 5th Wheel today, Diesel to High and Truck is next

It seems to me that people are letting the oil companies win or it is just an excuse to quit camping. I wish you the best. We are looking for a larger TT or 5er. I would rather stop eating out then quit camping.

RE: Anyone cancelling trips due to gas prices?

I hate the prices too, but we enjoy camping too much. Camped for 18 nights so far this year with 71 more booked. Sorry to hear about so many people cancelling, the campgrounds will not be the same with out you.

RE: Cancelled trips due to cost of getting there....

Gas/diesel prices are what they are. They have us over a barrel. All I know is we enjoy RV'ing too much. If we cut out say dining out when we are home then they we would have enough for the higher fuel prices. Sorry for the sarcasim, but too me it sounds like an excuse.

RE: Filling RX's while on the road

As far as Canada goes, I do not know. However we just returned :( froma a 2 week trip adn had an RX problem. Our son is a Diabetic and we forgot to bring an extra bottle of 1 of his Insulins. We contacted Walgreens and they were able to fill the RX in less than 1 hour, and only charged us our normal co-pay. Hope this helps.

RE: Tucson to Phoenix to Vegas to I-15 to Canada

I would stay off of Hwy 60 to Wickenburg. Try 17 to 40 in Flagstaff. Hwy 60 backs up and is too slow through Sun City.

Hwy 77 and 60 in Arizona

Looking for any advise on Hwy 77 from Oracle Junction to Globe and Hwy 60 from Globe to Showlow. F-250 pulling 27' TT. We live in the area and have never gone that way, sad but true.
Thank you,
Alan

Anyone familiar with Heartland TT's ?

We are looking to upgrade and get a larger TT. We found one that we like and it is a Trailrunner 2700bhs. Is anyone familiar with this brand and if so what do you like/dislike.

RE: "It ain't camping anymore"

We camped when I was a kid, but todays RV'ING is too tough for us. This past Saturday night we were in New Mexico and I could not get the NFL Network, Yes I am a Cowboys fan. Boy that was frustrating, but our 12 year old said " Dad, get the laptop" So, here we are out by the campfire RV'ING watching the football game on the laptop. Today's RV'ING is perfect. :)

RE: Optima Batteries at Sam's

I get asked all the time about Optima's and RV's (I am the GM for Interstate Batteries in PHX) and I do not feel that they are the best option. If you are looking for a sealed maint free battery then look at our DCM 100. In all of the years that I have been in the battery industry, they last the best. We do sell the Optima's to Sam's and there are too many warranties when it comes to RV'S. For starting batteries they are great, but for how we (rv'ers) use them they do not hold up. If you would like more info on them DCM 100's PM me and I will get it for you.
